- 1Dead AirDot's usual night bends sideways when the only caller reveals his radio isn't plugged in — and the transmitter agrees.
- 2The Manual Is HandwrittenThe station comes back on before it is turned on. Reyes finds a manual addressed to her by name.In the player
- 3The Tower Is DecorativeThe manual grows a new chapter overnight and its diagrams point the wrong way — the antenna runs down through the bedrock, the tower is a courtesy perch for the birds, and a framed license from 1893 names the station's operator as "whoever is present." Which, unfortunately, is them.
- 4Line TwoA second switchboard line that does not exist begins to glow, and the Caller's grandmother joins the program to explain the town's actual job — every attic radio was a wedding present, every resident is staff, and the whole listening area exists to keep the station company. Then Dot asks what happens if the town ever stops listening, and Gran remembers 1974.
- 5Nine Seconds, ObservedChapter nine of the manual turns out to be a calendar of one event — every eleventh year, the station holds nine seconds of silence in memory of the night it was left alone. Dot schedules a do-over, the whole town keeps the quiet on purpose this time, and the frequency is finally sat with instead of fixed. The manual signs itself and pencils everyone in for tomorrow.
